Wrench and File is a work built off the format of Stutter and Spill. The motion in the film is slower, and the technique differs. I experimented with different font stencils, multiple compositions for each letter, and the use of image transfer technique to pull and reprint the illustrations from the dictionary pages. The images I chose to reprint had significance as containers of language, technology and civilization. The loop time is around twenty five minutes. The Wrench and File collage Material at the bottom of this page is in private collections. The animation installation has yet to be exhibited.
